MMTA Eligibility Guidelines

Membership Eligibility

The Music Mavens of Texas Association welcomes members from across the United States and beyond who actively support and contribute to the Texas music community.

Members do not have to be born in Texas or reside in Texas to join MMTA.

To qualify for membership, individuals or organizations should meet at least one of the following criteria:

Artists / Musicians / Songwriters

Must have a professional presence in the music industry and perform a minimum of five (5) live performances in Texas per calendar year, OR actively release and promote music within the Texas music market.

Bands

Bands must perform a minimum of five (5) shows annually in Texas or demonstrate active engagement in the Texas music scene.

Producers / Engineers / Industry Professionals

Must have professional credits working with artists or projects connected to the Texas music industry.

Radio Stations / Radio Hosts

Radio stations must be based in Texas OR program a significant percentage of Texas artists (recommended guideline: A significant portion of programming dedicated to Texas or regional artists.).

Media / Podcasters / Press

Must actively cover music, artists, or events connected to the Texas music community.

Fans & Supporters

Individuals who support the mission of MMTA and the advancement of artists and industry professionals within the Texas music scene are welcome to join as Fan Members.
